The colourfulness is a result of knowledge about colour and the simultaneous forgetting of this knowledge, the observation of the constantly changing
surface after each new application of paint and the inclusion of new observations in the process. Each underlying layer remains present and effective
and helps to build up the colour space and the tension from below.
